How To: Clean Your Makeup Brushes

Friday, 10 June 2016
Cleaning your makeup brushes should be a big part of your makeup routine, not daily of course but it is something you should do regularly. When using your brushes bits of makeup, oil, dirt and bacteria get left behind in the brushes. Which can lead to blocked pores and breakouts. So needless to say its rather important you clean your brushes. Luckily cleaning your makeup brushes is really easy and only takes a few minutes to do.

I keep it simple and use my Eucerin cleansing wash to clean my brushes. I know a lot of people use baby shampoo and other sorts of products, but I find it simplest to use my wash. If you don't uses Eucerin, just use any fragrance free face cleanser.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

* Clean sink or basin
Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser
* A hand towel

INSTRUCTIONS

1. I like to clean each brush separately, so start by running your brush under lukewarm water.

2. Squeeze a bit of cleanser into the palm on your hand, and gently swirl your brush in into the cleanser. continue to swirl to work up a lather.

3. Rinse the brush under the running warm water, and gently squeeze from the top of the brush bristles to the ends. Working out the makeup and cleanser.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the water runs clear from the brushes.

5. Use the hand towel to pat the brushes and reshape while still damp. Leave to air dry, on the towel.

And that's that, so easy! Your makeup brushes should be as good as new.
